Whats the difference between electronic engineering and electrical engineering ?? Potential merge? Fresheneesz 08:36, 3 March 2006 (UTC) electronic is part of electrical engineering. When talking about curriculums electrical engineering gives a general understanding of electronics. Electronic engineering focuses on electronics. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.42.21.154 (talk) 04:40:53, August 19, 2007 (UTC)Reply

Electronic engineering focuses on low voltages (within the range of mV), lower than the utility voltages (110/120 V or 220/240 V). While for electrical engineering, it covers the whole range of voltages. While for the other one, power engineering, it covers utility voltages and higher. We need to keep the category free of everyones favourite electrical devices as they have their own categories. Per any xx engineering discipline category, the distinction between the engineering process and discipline and the end products needs to be maintained. --Hooperbloob (talk) 18:02, 1 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
