Definition of Hot-air baths
editThere is a problem here in that none of the subject headings (ie, article titles) included in this category match the definition of 'Hot-air baths' currently appearing at the head of the category. 'Hot-air baths' as "a bathtub with multiple jets coming out of it" should comprise, and be limited to, facilities and equipment related to such items as ™Jacuzzi or ™Aeratone baths. But these are already covered in Hot tub and, eg, Jacuzzi. A separate category for these types of equipment may not be needed, or if it is, then it should be more accurately renamed.
However, all the subjects currently included on the present page exactly match the proposed renamed Category:Hot-air bathing.
I propose the following steps:
1. Category:Hot-air baths should be renamed Category:Hot-air bathing.
2. The definition of hot-air bathing should be something along the lines of:
Hot-air bathing is the process of exposing the body to hot air in an appropriate enclosure. Hot air is the bathing medium which is utilised for cleansing, relaxation, or as a therapy.
The second sentence differentiates the process from the more usual one of bathing in the medium of water, or the less usual ones of (eg, mud or milk), and indicates the uses of the process. I hope these proposals meet with general approval. If so I will make the appropriate changes some time in October. Ishpoloni (talk) 12:57, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
