editThe local government council areas in New South Wales of urban character were previous called municipalities, except for the ones with larger population and a significant central business area, which were cities. However the use of the title municipality was abolished by the New South Wales Government in 1998 and none of these local government entitities still has the word municipality in their official name. One day this needs to be fixed up. Eregli bob 12:58, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
