The name is wrong. The plural of Lord Mayor is Lords Mayor, not Lord Mayors. It may not appear to make sense grammatically, but heck, English is famed for its strange rules. This name needs to be changed. FearÉIREANN \(caint) 21:40, 8 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Surely a Lord Mayor is a type of mayor, so the plural is Lord Mayors? Dublin City Council certainly think so [1] See also Talk:List of Lord Mayors of London. JRawle (Talk) 17:20, 25 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
I think Fear Éireann is right from a strictly grammatical point of view but in usage it may be a slightly archaic usage as pointed out above. Is there a Wiki-policy on this kind of issue? -- Gramscis cousin (talk) 17:18, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
The title Lord Mayor stems from the fact that incumbents are in post from May each year and therefore Mayor describes the role. Hence Lords Mayor is the correct plural.Haynesta (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 16:33, 15 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
