Newsweek

edit

Newsweek cannot be called a modern liberal American magazine with a straight face--at least not after Tina Brown took over and added such hard-right columnists as Niall Ferguson. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.82.34.123 (talk) 04:44, 19 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

The Atlantic - pretty sure it is a centrist magazine with no direct political leanings

edit

I don't think the Atlantic should be listed here. The magazine definitely does not promote liberal (or conservative) ideas. It's merely a vessel for well thought out topics. Heck, it's sub-headline is "Of no party or clique".

Even the Wikipedia link itself to Amazon's review of the magazine states: "The Atlantic magazine is a leading journal of American thought, culture, and politics. It manages to be a captivating read that treats its readers to beautiful pictures, intelligent opinion, and a spacious layout with room for all of the information you need about the important issues facing the United States today. Subscribers to The Atlantic magazine keep up to speed on the latest in political developments, foreign policy, and economics. Every issue is distinguished by its fair, rational approach to current events."
