Here is an informal list of New Jersey's highest points (not including ones that already have pages). How are we determining whether a mountain should get an article? For example, Pochuck Mountain is a ridge with its highest peak (Pochuck) at 1194. However, on the same ridge, there are Glenwood Mountain and Drew Mountains, for example, that are nearly as tall. However, they have much less prominence due to their vicinity to Pochuck. Perhaps for a NJ highlands mountain to be considered significant (absent historical or other significance) it should have a prominence of at least 300-500 ft? Pochuck has a prominence of about 695 feet, much greater than the prominence of its neighbors Glenwood and Drew.Kevin Borland, Esq. (talk) 20:11, 14 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
