Bohemian Rhapsody

I'm not a music expert on what constitutes a "ballad," but from what I've read, Bohemian Rhapsody appears to be a murder ballad in its broadest sense. Can we include that? Rmmiller44 (talk) 18:42, 25 October 2020 (UTC)

Hazard (song)

Name of Category

Would it be better to rename the category "Songs about murder" instead? The current category in which it is contained is "Songs about crime", and this one ("Murder ballads") is the only one that:

1. ) limits the song style to ballads.
2. ) does not follow similar naming as the other categories included.

I agree that a general "Songs about murder" is needed, however the "murder ballad" is a specific song type that has been referenced for decades so it should remain as a category on its own as well.2603:6010:5CF0:7610:21C0:F4D7:EBA2:E648 (talk) 06:05, 9 March 2023 (UTC)

Some of these songs do not belong on this list

Many songs included in this list are not ballads, and some are not about murder (such as "Big Iron", which is about a legal killing done by a law officer).
