Engagements vs battles
editI have created most if not all of the categories entitled "Naval engagements of the .... involving the United States". To prevent other users from renaming them I though I might explain why "engagements" is used instead of "battles". Not all military actions involving naval forces are considered battles so that is why I have used the word "engagement" which can refer to any sort of combat.
