I remember have seen that kind of consensus years ago but can't be more precise. It seems that the current practice is inconsistent. Therefore I asked for guidelines from the relevant project here. Beagel (talk) 20:50, 20 February 2017 (UTC)

@Beagel: FYI, this category is no longer subordinate to the Chinese one, this is per Talk:Taiwan#Inconsistent_status_across_Wikipedia:_Article.3Dstate.2Bcountry.2C_but_portal.3Dregion.2C_further_.28only_some.29_categories_subordinate_to_China. Lklundin (talk) 18:46, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
