Funny; most of the cites on this page are to pseudoscience, apparently in the contention that any word that describes something that calls itself science and isn't must be pejorative.--Prosfilaes 20:03, 12 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

What is the objective criteria we are using to decide which articles to include in this category? The list so far appears to be subjective. For example, none of the terms listed in "Pejorative" are included. Without a clear and objective criteria, this category should be deleted. -Willmcw 05:27, September 13, 2005 (UTC)
I generally include articles in this category that use the phrase "_____ is considered a pejorative" or "_____ is used as a pejorative" in the actual body of the article. I don't think this category should be deleted. Like everything else in the Wikipedia, its contents are a matter of consensus and are subject to continual editing. If you feel something doesn't belong here, please remove it. -- Reinyday, 19:54, 4 October 2005 (UTC)
That seems appropriate to me. We should add the criteria to the category page so that it will be clear when and why it's used. -Willmcw 20:45, 4 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Political terms?

edit

Ever since the old, very bloated page listing all of the various pejorative political terms was deleted, there doesn't seem to be a category where that stuff should of been converted into. Should a subcategory be made for political terms? What should be done with pejorative terms that are definitely in use, but wouldn't merit an article by themselves (e.g. gun grabber, gun nut, abortion on demand, etc.)? Maybe have the terms redirect to the neutral articles a la gun control for the gun terms, morality of abortion for the abortion ones, etc.? Input appreciated. Ngchen 02:01, 22 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
