The titles in the templates of this category do not appear in a unified manner. Some of them edited with red backgrounds seem to imply unofficial titles of each province, according to official spellings used by the United Nations and given in Zhōngguó dìmínglù 中国地名录 / Gazetteer of China (Beijing, SinoMaps Press 中国地图出版社 1997) (the red texts are from User:Babelfisch originally posting on this page), while the others in default style have the official ones.
