<------------BJR?-------------> Billy Joe Royal was not "from" Morehead City. He moved here and lived for about 5 years in a house down the street from me. He was born in, grew up in, and formed a band in Valdosta, Georgia.

I'm not sure what the wikipedia "from here" criteria is, but JBR is "from" Valdosta, Georgia in any even distorted sense of the word.
