How do I go about adding my new article Western Alienation somewhere onto this list? Thanks --Gregorof 18:43, 30 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Government, politics and law

edit

Currently, the category Category:Government of Canada is a subcategory of this one. This category is also an ascendant of Category:Politics of Quebec and others called "Politics of..." which contain a lot of information about institutions . It seems as if Category:Politics of Canada and other "politics of" categories have become a sort of catch-all for government, politics and law. Certainly, there will be cases where an article fits more than one of these categories, and that's fine, they can belong to all of them. As it stands, Category:Ontario government buildings is a subcategory of Category:Politics of Ontario, presumably because there is no Category:Government of Ontario or Category:Government in Ontario. I propose that we follow the scheme used for the United States, which like Canada has a federal structure. Namely, Category:Government of the United States says this:

This category is for the institutions and powers of the Federal government of the United States and its officers. Whenever possible, appropriate subcategories should be used. See also:

I propose that we follow the same system for Canada and the provinces. Joeldl 07:54, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
