We need some parameters for what does and doesn't get included in this category. I think the Urban Growth Boundary might be a reasonable place to start. In fact, maybe we should just get rid of this category, and replace it with "settlements within Portland, Oregon urban growth boundary" -- make it a little easier to interpret! -Pete (talk) 22:01, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

The correct name for this category is the Portland-Vancouver metropolitan area. Most of the WA cities included in the category could hardly be called in the Portland area, and it is the traditional usage of the name in the press and literature.
