I am not sure there are reliable sources that indicate that Timothy Leary was researching consciousness as it is understood as a subject of research. His "theories", such as they are, on the subject, never rose to the level of academic appreciation which, I would argue, is the epistemic community of relevance here. Leary wore his rejection by the WP:MAINSTREAM as a badge of honor. Odd that we would try to categorize him otherwise. Anyway, sources are the thing we need to look at, and I don't see any that include him with the likes of philosophers and neuroscientists who are studying consciousness. jps (talk) 07:45, 29 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
