errr, I just created this category. how did all those items suddenly get in here. this is strange. could some please help me figure this out? thanks! --Steve, Sm8900 (talk) 14:15, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Took me a moment, but figured it. You've created the category, and inserted the category onto some of the templates themselves, such as {{Template:Medcab}}. Some of those templates have been transcluded, not subsituted, onto certain other pages - that's to say that as the template changes, so the content of the other page changes. The new category of "Wikipedia Mediation Cabal templates" has thus been inserted by proxy onto those other pages. Hey presto, your brand new template page already has 127 pages in it.
