How (if at all) should we list wildland-urban-interface fires?
editThe Cedar Fire of 2003 certainly belongs on this list, due to huge size, but it is also notable for very severe damage to buildings. The Oakland firestorm of 1991 isn't currently listed. The 1991 fire was influenced by weather and vegetation, like a wildfire; it caused a level of damage to buildings which is in the same league as the 2003 fire, and thus may be considered notable. However, the 1991 fire was orders of magnitude smaller in terms of burned area. I wonder if the 1991 fire, and others like it, might be included on the list of notable fires.
