editThe category Wineries of the Palestinian territories exists, because the Palestinians territories are not part of Israel. Therefore wineries in the Golan Heights, an area also not part of Israel, should not be in an Israel category. SyrianKing (talk) 22:33, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you, it is a valid cat. But a subcat to Wineries of Israel. There would be a problem for some if the cat was ... 'in Israel' and the compromise was the neutral ... of Israel'. Since the GH is controlled by Israel, than it is natural for this to be a subcat and not a top-level country on its own. --Shuki (talk) 22:47, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
Actually, since it is part of Syria the Syria category belongs. The wineries may be owned by Israel and the Golan may be under Israel military occupation, but that doesn't change the fact that the GH are part of Syria and not Israel. I left the Israeli wine category, because it is wine produced by Israeli-owned companies and operated by Israeli citizens. But it is definintely not located in Israel.
An Israeli corporation, or winery, founded, owned and run by Israelis, is clearly a corporation of Israel. HupHollandHup (talk) 23:35, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
- A corporation is of Israel yes but the physical winery, no. However, the article is not about the corporation that owns the Winery, which is "Galilee and Golan Heights Vineyards, Inc."[1].
- If this article was titled "Galilee and Golan Heights Vineyards, Inc" or "The Golan Heights Winery Ltd." both an Israelis corporation, then yes, it would be "of Israel". However, that is not the case. This article is titled Golan Heights Winery, which is about physical things like building, grape plants, processing facility and wine produced. In any case, the winery is not "in" or "of" Israel. SyrianKing (talk) 23:46, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
- I think you are a little confused. This is not an "article", it is a category, and the CATEGORY is Wineries in the Golan Heights. In English, when we are talking about an Israeli corporation, we can equivalently call it a 'corporation of Israel' - the two are the same.HupHollandHup (talk) 00:00, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
No, I'm not confused at all. This article is about the winery located in Syria. The corporation that owns it has a different name and even if it filed its legal documents with Israel, its subsidary is in Syria. And please stop wikihounding me by following my contributions and undoing everything I edit. SyrianKing (talk) 00:06, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- I'm afraid you are confused. Look up at the top of this page and see what this says- it is a category page, not an article. HupHollandHup (talk) 00:13, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
That is my point. Wineries located in the Golan Heights are not "of" or "in" Israel. They are located in Syria. So no matter how you frame it, the 'Of Israel' category is incorrect and a POV violation SyrianKing (talk) 00:42, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- "Company of Country X" is not the same as "Company in country X". That point has been made to you by a couple of editors now. The category "Of Israel" is correct, both grammatically and factually, and there is nothing POV about it. HupHollandHup (talk) 00:50, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
