Cesare Stefano Bernardinelli (born October 4, 1956) is an Italian architect, urban planner, and designer, from Orzinuovi, Brescia. He is known for his work on tourism projects, urban planning, and interior design in the international hotel and resort sector. His projects include across countries like Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Morocco, Russia, and the Dominican Republic, among others.
Biography

editCesare Stefano Bernardinelli studied at the Polytechnic University of Milan, graduating in 1981 with a thesis focused on urban planning in the municipality of Bovisio Masciago. He also attended the State Institute of Monza after school, earning a diploma in "Master in Art" and later in Applied Arts.[1]
Career
editIn 1983, Bernardinelli began his independent professional career in Milan. Four years later, in 1987, he specialized in the design and construction of tourism projects and interior design.[2]
In 1997, he was awarded an honorary degree from the International University of New York for his contributions to the field of architecture.[2]
Bernardinelli has held executive positions at OMINASIS FRANCE since 2004.[3]
In 2005, he designed the tourist center of the Tamarindo Region in the Gulf of Fonseca on the Pacific coast for the government of President Elías Antonio Saca González in El Salvador.
From 2012 to 2016, Bernardinelli prepared projects for the development of the Sassandra area in Côte d'Ivoire, and from 2018 to 2022, for the Great Bridges Region in Côte d'Ivoire and El Salvador for the development of the tourist area.[4]
In 2013, he created the eco-sustainable neighborhood of Cité Ado for the Government of Côte d'Ivoire, in honor of President Alexandre Ouattara. It consisted of 4,800 apartments, with common areas, schools, churches, and shopping centers.[5]
New projects
editIn 2024, Bernardinelli is carrying out the construction of a mega hotel complex in Roatán, an island in the Caribbean off the coast of Honduras. The development of this project is estimated to take between 5 and 6 years, with an initial investment of approximately $250 million, financed by European entrepreneurs. Planning for the first hotel began in 2024.[6][7][8]

- 1991: Remodeling of the Velegozh Thermal Station, Tula region, Russia, in collaboration with architect Gianfranco Moras.
- 1994: Participation in the tourist project “Sinai Groove” in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.
- 1996: Renovation of the “Kemeri” Spa Station in Latvia, a national monument originally designed by Prussian architect E. Laube.
- 1998: Design and construction of the Sinai Garden tourist villa in Sharm el Sheikh, owned by Nesco Telephone Sales.
- 2003: Design and construction of the Sinai View tourist villa in Sharm el Sheikh, managed by Maxi Village.
- 2005: Design and construction of the La Unión tourist center in El Salvador, commissioned by the Government of El Salvador.
- 2009: Project for the Hotel-Resort-Spa in Gavi (Piedmont, Italy) for the Preferred Old Farm Spa Hotel.
- 2014: Architectural concept for a Golf Resort for villas and apartments in Côte d'Ivoire, in the hands of the company Abidjan Golf Resort (AGR).
- 2015: Design and construction of a Conference Center in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, owned by FPM.
- 2017: Design of a tourist center in the Great Bridges region, Côte d'Ivoire, with 4,800 apartments, commissioned and supervised by the Government.
- 2022: Design of the BABIWOOD television studios for state television RTI in Côte d'Ivoire.
- 2023: Design of the hotel project for the tourist destination Roatán in Honduras.

edit- 1987: Designed, on behalf of the multinational tire company Michelin, the franchise model for the workshops and offices of its tire distributors.
- 1988: Designed the "Valextra" Boutique in Piazza S.Babila (Milan), in collaboration.
- 1990: Designed furniture for the “Le MORAN” hotel for the 1990 FIFA World Cup.
- 1991: Set design for the Pathe Media Network television circuit, via Pontina, Rome.
- 1992: Designed a standard franchise store for Europe for the multinational “Dott Scholl's.”
- 1993: Designed furniture for franchised stores for the food chain “La VILLAREALE” based in Milan.
- 1994: Industrial design for the mass production of bathroom furniture for the Bathline spa in Garbagnate Milanese (Milan).
- 1995: Designed the showroom for Saporiti Italia S.p.a., Via Gallarate 23, Milan.
- 1996: Designed the representation rooms for military authorities at Linate Military Airport.
- 1998: Renovated the building and designed furniture for the “Le Panoramique” refuge located on Mont Blanc at 2,800 meters above sea level in Les Suches – La Thuille (AO), owned by hotel ATA.
- 2001: Project for the equipment of swimming pools and common areas of the Sea Master Village for tour operators Quoni and Gastaldi.
- 2003: Designed furniture and rooms for the Kemeri Thermal Station and Polyclinic.
