CesiumAstro is an Austin, Texas[1] based startup specializing in phased array technology.[2] The company is building antennas and communications systems for satellites.[3][4] The CesiumAstro was founded in 2017 by Shey Sabripour.[5] In March 2019, the company raised $12.4 million in a Series A round.[6][7] The company established a spacecraft design facility in 2020 in Broomfield, Colorado.[8][9] In January 2023, CesiumAstro has acquired TXMission, a UK-based developer of software-defined radios and modems.[10] In June 2024, the company raised $65 million in a Series B+ investment round.[11][12][13] In July 2024 it was awarded a contract by NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) to deliver radio units for lunar navigation (LunaNet Technology).[4][14]
