Early life and high school
editBrantley attended Venice High School located in Venice, Florida. Coming out of high school, Brantley was rated as a three-star recruit, where he committed to play college football for the Michigan State Spartans.[1][2]
College career
editIn week eight of the 2021 season, Brantley had four tackles and the game winning interception as he helped the Spartans beat rival Michigan 37-33.[3] During Brantley's freshman season in 2021, he played in eight games notching 18 tackles, four pass deflections, and an interception.[4] In week six of the 2022 season, Brantley picked off C. J. Stroud and returned it 32 yards for a touchdown versus the Ohio State Buckeyes.[5] In the 2022 season, Brantley played in and started eleven games for the Spartans, where he totaled 48 tackles, a sack, six pass deflections, an interception, and a touchdown.[6] During the 2023 season, Brantley played in just three games before suffering a season-ending injury, where he had ten tackles, and a pass deflection.[7] In week three of the 2024 season, Brantley intercepted a pass and returned 100 yards for a touchdown, as he helped the Spartans to a 40-0 win over Prairie View A&M.[8]
Personal life
editBrantley is the cousin of former Michigan State and NFL wide receiver, Herb Haygood.[9][10]
