Geography
editCheshire CDP is located in the center of the town of Cheshire at 42°33′43″N 73°9′46″W / 42.56194°N 73.16278°W.[3] Massachusetts Route 8 passes through the center of the community, leading north to Adams and North Adams and south towards Pittsfield. The CDP sits at the head of the Hoosic River, where it flows out of the Cheshire Reservoir.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the Cheshire CDP has a total area of 0.39 square miles (1.0 km2), all land.[2]
