Cleveland Palestine Advocacy Community (CPAC) is an American pro-Palestinian advocacy organization.
Activities
editCPAC presented an Israel–Hamas war ceasefire resolution to Cleveland City Council on Oct. 30, 2023, persisting for at least 15 City Hall meetings.[1] After United Nations Security Council Resolution 2728, Cleveland City Council passed a ceasefire resolution on March 25, 2024.[2]
CPAC protest tactics included stopping traffic[3][4] and interrupting the State of the County address.[5]
CPAC called for Cuyahoga County to invest in the community instead of $16 million in Israel Bonds.[6] CPAC works with Jewish Voice for Peace's Break the Bonds campaign. Cuyahoga County Council introduced a CPAC-supported resolution to prohibit future investments in foreign securities which was later withdrawn.[7] During a march outside County Executive Chris Ronayne's house, 4 protestors were cited for noise disturbance.[8]
