Communauté de communes de la Septaine

The communauté de communes de la Septaine is located in the Cher département of the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. It was established on 15 December 1999. Its seat is Avord.[1] Its area is 391.5 km2, and its population was 10,774 in 2018.[2]

History

The Communauté de communes de la Septaine was established on 15 December 1999 to foster cooperation among its member communes and to manage collective services and development projects. Since its formation, the communauté has undertaken various initiatives to improve local infrastructure, promote economic development, and enhance the quality of life for its residents. Key milestones include the integration of additional communes in 2004 and the launch of significant environmental and cultural projects.

Situated in the Cher département of the Centre-Val de Loire region, the Communauté de communes de la Septaine covers an area of 391.5 km². It is bordered by the Loire River to the north and features a mix of agricultural land, forests, and small water bodies. The region's fertile soil and temperate climate make it ideal for farming, particularly cereal crops and vineyards.
