Scithers, Darrell Schweitzer, John Gregory Betancourt and published by Wildside Press.[1] "Dead of Winter" won the 2006 Aurealis Award for best horror short story, beating works by Kaaron Warren, Chris Lawson, and Margo Lanagan.[2]
