Deepak Sahni is an Indian entrepreneur[2] who is the founder and CEO of Healthians,[3][4] a diagnostic company headquartered in Gurgaon.[5][6]

Education and career

Sahni attended St Margaret School in Delhi before earning his degree and master's in computer application from Sikkim and Manipal University.[7]

He began his career assembling computer components[7] and in 2004, founded SWT Services, a healthcare-focused digital firm in India, where he served as founder and director.[8] Sahni has also represented India at the Medical Tourism Congress in the US for three consecutive years.[9] He also co-founded High Beam Global.[10][11]

After running SWT for seven years until 2013, he founded Healthians, which opened its first laboratory in Gurgaon.[12][13] The company operates in over 250 cities and maintains a network of 12 labs across the country.[14][15][16] In 2019, Healthians acquired Healthy Labs, a diagnostic and logistics provider based in Mumbai.[16][17][18]

In 2022, Deepak was invited to speak at the FE Healthcare Summit hosted by FE.com.[19]

Awards and recognition

Deepak Sahni received the Futuristic Face of Healthcare award in 2009.[20] In 2015, he was honored with the Leaders Award for Social Impact Enterprise of the Year.[7] Sahni was recognized as the Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2016.[21] He was also included in the Top 25 Healthcare Technology CEOs of Asia by BW Disrupt in 2020.[22] In 2021, he was featured in Businessworld's 40 under 40 list[23] and selected as one of the top 50 Torchbearers of Healthcare by Medgate.[24] Sahni received the Leaders in Healthcare award in 2021 from Forbes India.[25]
