Demjata (Hungarian: Deméte, Rusyn: Демята) is a village and municipality in Prešov District in the Prešov Region of eastern Slovakia.
History
editIn historical records the village was first mentioned in 1330.
Geography
editThe municipality lies at an altitude of 291 metres and covers an area of 11.49 km2 (4.44 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[1] It has a population of about 1,101 people (2020-12-31).[2]
