History
editAn old variant name of the community was called Gundrum.[2] The community had its start in 1860s when the railroad was extended to that point.[3] The Denham name was adopted in the 1880s in honor of a railroad official.[4]
A post office was established under the name Gundrum in 1870, was renamed Denham in 1888, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1996.[5]
