editThe competition uses the same format as MTN 8, but the difference is that the Semi Finals are played once. They do not have a second leg.

editDStv is the only company that broadcasts the matches on their channel Supersport 202.
Sponsors
editWhen the tournament was launched back in 2018, Multchoice was the title sponsor. When it was launched again after the COVID pandemic in 2022, PSL announced that DStv would be the new title sponsor.[2]
