Diyor Imamkhodjaev (Uzbek: Diyor Imomxoʻjayev / Диёр Имомхўжаев; born 22 September 1989 in Tashkent) is an Uzbek football expert, journalist, blogger, football commentator. On 28 May 2020, he became the director-general of the Uzbekistan Professional Football League.[1][2][3]

From 2007 to 2011 he was a student at the faculty of international journalism of Uzbekistan State World Languages University. In September 2012, he received a one-year scholarship to National University of Jakarta. From 2018 to 2021 he studied for second specialization at Uzbekistan state university of physical education and sport [ru].

Career

In 2005, Diyor joined for "Navruz" radio-channel as a sound director. Since 2008, he done broadcasting. In 2011, Diyor Imamkhodjaev was directly involved in the creation of the popular publication called "kun.uz [uz]". From 2012 Diyor Imamkhodjaev and Mukhrim Agzamkhodjaev began work in the press service of the Professional Football League of Uzbekistan. From 2013 to 2015, he was working on the Sport TV channel. In 2015, short term he worked in the press service of the Lokomotiv Tashkent FC. After, switched to the online publication called "Daryo", simultaneously collaborated with "championat.asia". From 2016 to 2020 also covered the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, European Champions League and Europa League on UzReport TV and Futbol TV channels.[4]

In 2019, Diyor Imamkhodjaev began working as Deputy General Director of the Professional Football League of Uzbekistan. In 2020 he became General Director.
