In June 2017, the United Russia party nominated Dmitry Mironov as a candidate for governor of Yaroslavl Oblast.[14] At the regional elections on 10 September 2017, Mironov received 79% of the vote in the 2017 Yaroslavl Oblast gubernatorial election.
