It is approximately 18 kilometres (11 mi) northwest of Svitavy, 42 km (26 mi) southeast of Pardubice, and 135 km (84 mi) east of Prague.

Paleontology
editIn 1960, a fragment of jawbone of a small-sized Cretaceous marine reptile (mosasaur) was found here.[4]
