Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado is an upcoming American adventure comedy film directed by Alberto Belli from a screenplay written by JT Billings. It is loosely a live-action adaptation of the animated television series Dora the Explorer created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh Valdes, and Eric Weiner. It stars Samantha Lorraine and Jacob Rodriguez.

editIn May 2024, it was revealed that a new live-action Dora the Explorer film was in development titled Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado, with Alberto Belli directing and JT Billings writing the screenplay. Samantha Lorraine was cast in the eponymous role.[1] Jacob Rddriguez was cast as Dora's cousin Diego the following month.[2] Principal photography began on August 9, 2024, in Rio Claro, Colombia.[3]
