Vasilije "Šujo" Karadžić (1787-1857) was a Serbian voivode from Montenegro and Old Herzegovnia, orginally from the famed Drobnjaci tribe that hailed from the Drobnjak region. The Karadžićs are a brotherhood from Drobnjaci, from Petnjica. Together with Novica Cerović and Mirko Aleksić, he is remembered in history for organizing the capture and execution of Smail Agha Čengić.[1][2]
In the First Serbian Uprising, Šujo Karadžić led the Drobnjaci in the conquest of Belgrade along with the Vasojevići.
