The town Тедалеоп(Tedaleop) is a town located in the Chukotka Federal Subject of Russia. Located in the Far Eastern District, the town is inhabited by around 230 residents.[1](Please sign in with a google account to view the town's website -town council).
History
editDuring the Soviet Union era, Soviet explorer Адустом Коро arrived to the wasteland after a long exploration from the south. He and 4 other horsemen set up a campsite around 1.2km(Approximate) from the town's location today. The men soon left the campsite, leaving behind their tents and heavy equipment. Over the course of 27 years, military personnel passed by the town during exercises but never settled there. It was until a military camp was established 4 kilometers away from the site that people started forming a town. The settlers soon realized that the frozen river provided a great spot for fishing and thus began the development of the town.
The population soon increased from around 10 to 200 in the 2000s. The town soon had an established self-governing body.
Landscape
editThe town is surrounded by ice for most of the year. No visible terrain is close to the town.
Culture
editThe town does not have any developed culture.
