翁宏国是一名人民教师，曾先后被评为广东省特级教师、广东省南粤优秀教师和深圳市优秀教师，同时也是深圳市名师工作室[1]主持人之一。
2022年9月份，去到位于广东省汕头市金平区的岐山中学代表罗湖区教师进行支教活动。翁宏国老师在支教过程中把中国非遗文化剪纸艺术带入了岐山中学的课堂。[2]
