- Alba Berlin was the Pokalsieger winner of the 2005–06 season.
- The BBL All-Star Game 2006 took place on January 28, 2006 in front of 15,172 spectators in the Cologne Arena in Cologne. The North won after three overtimes with a score of 157:154. Brian Brown (TBB Trier) was named MVP.
