The ^[1] (8.6×101,21mm) is an ITALIAN rimless, bottlenecked, centerfire rifle cartridge.

It was developed during the 2023 as a high-powered, extreme-long-range cartridge for high accuracy up to 1/8 MOA. The cartridge is named after the Company who develop it www.hti.center. The loaded .338 cartridge is 8,6 mm (0,34 in) in diameter (rim) and 101,21 (3.98 in) long. It can penetrate better-than-standard military body armor at ranges of up to 2,800 metres (2,843 yd), and has a maximum effective range of about 3,000 metres (3,280 yd) with C.I.P. conforming ammunition at sea level conditions.

Muzzle velocity is dependent on barrel length, seating depth, and powder charge, and varies from 990 to 1220 m/s (3,248 to 4,002 ft/s) for commercial loads with 19.44 grams (300grains) bullets, which corresponds to about 10,000 J 7,375 ft-lbf of muzzle energy.

Initial development Because of its incredibly high Ballistic Coefficient (BC), the round remains highly stable even when transitioning from supersonic to transonic speeds, making it a staple at ELR competitions worldwide. 352-grain Cutting Edge Match: G1 BC of 0.890 / G7 BC of 0.408.
