Primary Reserve Canadian Army unit[2] of the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals (part of the Communications and Electronics Branch) based in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and western Ontario. The regiment is the signals unit for 38 Canadian Brigade Group[3].

editThe regiment consists of four squadrons (1 Squadron in Winnipeg, 2 Squadron in Regina, 3 Squadron in Thunder Bay and 4 Squadron in Saskatoon). The regiment headquarters are at the Minto Armoury in Winnipeg[4]
Role
edit38 Signal Regiment provides tactical and strategic communication capabilities to the command staff of 38 Canadian Brigade Group. The regiment employs short, medium and long range voice communication systems. They are also capable of deploying signal attachments with other units within 38 Canadian Brigade Group as well as establishing headquarters and command posts for units in the field.[4][5]
