About the School
editAhafoman Senior High School is a senior high schools in Ahafo Region of Ghana. It is located at Goaso Ayomso Road, opposite Low-Cost Estates[1], in the Asunafo North Municipal district.[2] It is popularly known as Ahafoman SHTS[3]. It is a mixed school with both Day and Boarding options for students[2]
The school emerged as the winner of the 2023 StemnNovation competition in a tie with Wesley Grammar School of Accra with their two-in-one generator prototype and incubator. The invention is powered by solar, produces electricity, incubates eggs, and processes food hygienically.[3] The school has a 37% University acceptance rate.[1]
The school's domain of operation is child marriage, teenage pregnancy and street children.[4] The vision of the school is to grow into an educational hub of excellence, making the school one of the best in the country.[1] The motto of the School is "Knowledge and Service" and the slogan "Animdefoâ"[2]
