editATINATI is a charitable foundation established with the aim of promoting Georgian arts and culture. The foundation operates both through the media platform ATINATI.COM and the cultural center ATINATI’S.[1]
The name is metaphorical, and effectively conveys ATINATI's vision and mission. ATINATI (Georgian: „ათინათი”) signifies the first ray of the sun that illuminates the surroundings a figurative sense[2], it connotes “the first ray of knowledge and clarity.” The main aim of ATINATI is to introduce significant events from the history of Georgia, spanning from ancient times to the present day, while also promoting individuals who are active in the field of the arts.[3]
History
editThe online media platform was launched in 2020 in Georgia. The English-language media platform serves as a digital resource, offering readers and viewers the opportunity to explore historical and contemporary aspects of the country through ATINATI’s various channels, including the Webpage, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok channels. ATINATI’s digital content encompasses a wide range of subjects, including fine art, architecture, archaeology, music, film, theatre, literature, fashion, and photography.
The creative team of ATINATI is comprise of over 80 individuals, including editors, artists/designers, graphic artists, translators, camera operators, video and audio editors, photographers, and musicians. ATINATI strictly adheres to legislation and guidelines upholding copyright regulations.
One of ATINATI's notable achievements is the establishment of a team of contributing writers. In this regard, around 30 specialists from various fields actively contribute to the regular activities of ATINATI. These professionals include art historians, philologists, authors, architects, and experts from the worlds of theatre, cinema, and fashion.
