Abacaba (/ˈæbəˌkæbə/) is an American defunct data visualization YouTube channel owned and operated by Cary Huang.^[1] It was created in June 2014, but didn't start uploading until March 2015. It was later merged with another one of Huang's channels in 2022.

History

Abacaba was created on June 20, 2014, but didn't start uploading until March 2015. In June 2015, Huang's video on the evolution of boy names recieved postive reception from media outlets.^[2]^[3] His video on the Coronavirus pandemic also received external coverage in 2020 by Snopes,^[4] alongside his videos of meme trends,^[5] and his visualization on computer chess players.^[6] In 2022, Huang announced that the channel would be merged with another channel of his, carykh.
