editMaggie plans to defend the Hilltop and Riverbend from Lance Hornsby's soldiers.
Maggie, Hershel, Elijah, and Marco leave Hilltop and go to a former hideout where the Riverbend survivors are living. Hershel Jr is doesn't want to leave, but his mother, Maggie, assures him it's only temporary. Meanwhile, Lance Hornsby flips his lucky coin. He asks trooper Romano to call it and he calls tails. Hornsby divided the soldiers into two groups. Romano asks if he's going to give "the assignment", to which Hornsby says he will find out soon.
Back at the Commonwealth, Max is reading, thinking Eugene is sleeping. He tells her good morning, which startles her. Eugene tells her,she is the most remarkable human he has ever met, and they kiss. Max gets ready for work in the Commonwealth.
Daryl, Gabriel, and Aaron are part of Romano's group, scouting a large house. Daryl kills a walker and Romano is attacked by another one. Romano struggles with the walker while Daryl pretends not to notice his struggle, pinning his walker to the wall with a bayonet. After Romano overpowers and kills the walker, he is radioed by Hornsby, who asks about their status. Romano replies that they have cleared the second location and are heading to the final spot. Daryl, Gabriel, and Aaron secretly discuss a plan for escaping the soldiers.
Maggie, Hershel, Elijah, and Marco approach the hideout. Elijah and Marco notice a swarm of locusts getting close. Maggie promises to Hershel that taking him to the hideout will keep him safe. They meet with Lydia, who takes them to the hideout.
Meanwhile, Hornsby is with the second group of soldiers, including the newly recruited Leah who he has hired to kill Maggie. She gears up for the mission and ignores Hornsby's attempts at conversation. Leah looks up to see the same swarm of locusts and chuckles. Hornsby tells her that he needs to see Maggie dead and hands her a radio. Leah takes the soldiers to hunt her down as Hornsby watches from behind.
