Marie Adélaide Ducluzeau (née Durand; 15 March 1787 – 1 August 1849), known and styled as Madame Ducluzeau, was a French porcelain painter and portraitist.

Biography

Early Life

Born into prosperity, Adélaïde occupied herself with painting during her early youth in Jean-Baptiste Regnault's studio.[1] Under the teaching of Marie-Victoire Jaquotot, Adélaïde grew fond of the idea of porcelain painting[1]

Career

In her adulthood, Adélaïde pursued a career at the Manufacture nationale de Sèvres.[1] She opted to making expensive vases and plates, often accommodating to her work.[1]

In her later years, Adélaïde produced portraits of Queen Victoria[2] and Maria Amalia of Naples and Sicily.
