"Agua" is a song by Argentine musical duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso featuring Argentine singer Tini. It was released on 30 May 2024, through 5020 Records, as the third single from their debut studio album Baño María.[a]
"Agua" is the fifth track on Baño María, which was released on 18 April 2024. The song was the sole hidden track on the record, before it was announced and issued as a single.
Background and release
editCa7riel & Paco Amoroso are an Argentine musical duo that mainly makes and releases trap-oriented music. After releasing solo albums El Disko and Saeta (both 2021),[1][2] the duo told El Observador in August 2022 that their joint debut studio album was in the works.[3]
Their debut album, titled Baño María, was announced on 15 March 2024.[4] The 12-song tracklist was revealed on 11 April, on which "Agua" featuring Argentine singer Tini, is the fifth track.[5] The album was preceded by the singles "La que puede, puede" on 21 March,[6] and "Dumbai" on 16 April.[7] Baño María was released on 18 April 2024 through 5020 Records;[8] however, "Agua" appeared as an unplayable, hidden track.[9] It was reported that the song would be released as a single "in a few weeks".[10] In an interview with Univision, Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso revealed that "Agua" would be released in May.[11] Media outlet Shangay broke the news on 14 May that the collaboration would be released on 29 May.[12] Paco revealed it was "surprising" for him and Ca7riel that Tini had "accepted our invitation" to collaborate: "One night we went to dinner together. She was working on [Un Mechón de Pelo] and [explained to us] why she was recording such deep work. We began to tell her miseries from the past, and we connected very well." He further said that the three artists had bonded over having been "broken" and "screwed".[12]
"Agua" was officially announced on 29 May by Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso; the duo also previewed the song on their social media the same day.[13] It is co-produced by Xay and American musician DVLP.[14] In a press statement, Tini said that the "chemistry between [the three] was instantaneous", which "reflected in the final result of the song".[14]
"Agua" was released on 30 May 2024 as the third single from Baño María, for download and via streaming services.[15]
Composition
