Ajin:Demi-Human(アジン:デミヒューマンJapanese language) is a Japanese Tv,anime series, written and illustrated by Gamon Sakurai(Sorce needed). It premiered on January 16, 2016.] It was produced by the staff that produced the film trilogy. It aired on MBS, TBS, CBC and BS-TBS, with 13 episodes. The series was streamed by Netflix, starting on April 12, 2016, along with English , French , Spanish , German and Brazilian Portuguese Dubb.
Plot
editIn the Ajin: Demi-Human world, There are beings that have the Ability of Immortality, they can create ever decaying black Ghost that fight alongside and protect them, these ghosts have extreme strength and sharp claws and teeth, Ajin are also able to scream causing Paralysis to those who hear their scream. The Protagonist, Kei Nagai , is a high school student with a cold Personality and selfish Demeanor, through most of the series, he is shown to only care about his own well being. His only family member shown is, Eriko Nagai his younger sister, a hospitalized young girl who seems to suffer from a Terminal illness through most of the series.
On his way from school, he is distracted while crossing the road causing him to be killed in a Traffic incident, Black dust swarms around him and he instantly Regenerates, which causes bystanders to panic. In the series Ajin are being tortured and hurt for Scientific experiments, such as live weapon testing, and organ harvesting, By the government(They say that they protect the Ajin, but its the opposite) Those who escape from the government are bent on revenge on the government( Some examples include the main Antagonist Satō (佐藤, Satou) who announces he wants freedom and justice for all Ajin, but later his true intentions are revealed later in the series) Kei, however wants no part in the Ajins revenge on the humans, even after he was captured. He creates a agreement with the govermont to fight against Sato in exchange for his freedom.

- Kei is cold, selfish and careless about others during the series, he first discovered his ability when he was killed in a traffic accident. Although he is one, he shows no interest in resolving the cruel treatment to ajin's, instead he creates a agreement with the Japannese government to fight against Sato in exchange for his freedom. Through the series, flashbacks depicting kei protecting his sister from a black ghost (IBM) suggest that his Ajin abilities had already developed at a young age, this explains a phenomenon involving his unintended creation of a swarm of IBM in the last episode. This was also stated by Ikuya.
Kō Nakano (中野 攻, Nakano Kou) Voiced by: Jun Fukuyama (Japanese); Griffin Burns (English) Another Ajin that escaped from Sato when he decided not to follow Sato's plan, he is friendly kind and values his friendships, willing to risk his life for others. He had a struggle creating a IBM until Kei created a killing mechanism for him to regenerate infinitely and learn to use his IBM.
Izumi Shimomura (下村 泉, Shimomura Izumi) / Yōko Tainaka (田井中 陽子, Tainaka Youko) Voiced by: Mikako Komatsu[3] (Japanese); Cristina Vee (English) Played by: Rina Kawaei Izumi is a Ajin, working as a body guard for a Yu Tosaki. She is disciplined, quiet and cares deeply for Yu Tosaki. She discovered her abilities to regenerate when her stepfather tried to rape her in her teenage years. Both of her parents died, and Yu took her in.
Satō (佐藤, Satou) / Samuel T. Owen (サミュエル・T・オーウェン, Samyueru. T. Ouen) Voiced by: Hōchū Ōtsuka[3] (Japanese); Pete Sepenuk (English) Played by: Gō Ayano (佐藤, Satou) / Samuel T. Owen (サミュエル・T・オーウェン, Samyueru. T. Ouen) Voiced by: Hōchū Ōtsuka (Japanese); Pete Sepenuk (English) Played by: Gō Ayano He is stoic and sinister, and he is known as "Hat" due to the fact that he wears a flat hat and his signature move is a hat flap. He is the main Antagonist throughout the story, his goal is a "massacre'' on human's, and the Japanese government. he enjoys games, and refers to his plan as playing a game.

- Played by: Yu Shirota
- He is the second Ajin to be discovered in Japan. He was rescued by Satō from brutal live weapon testing experiments and joins in with his pro-Ajin movement against the Japanese government.
Masumi Okuyama (奥山 真澄, Okuyama Masumi) Voiced by: Hiroyuki Yoshino (Japanese); Lucien Dodge (English) Played by: Yudai Chiba Masumi is one of the few Ajins who accepts Satō's invitation to use genocide to fight for Ajins' rights. He is a skilled hacker knowledgeable in weaponry and machines. In the anime, he eventually betrays Satō and reaches out to Kei in order to defeat him.
Takeshi Kotobuki (琴吹 武, Kotobuki Takeshi) Voiced by: Sōma Saitō A prisoner who had escaped from jail after seeing Sato's announcement to protest for Ajins' rights. Takeshi becomes Kaito's partner after Kaito helped him when he was bullied by the other prisoners wanting to know how he had escaped from jail, although he did not care for Kaito's help he still helped kaito escape, with his unique winged IBM, and later helped Kaito get to Eriko's hospital to save her from a anti Ajin riot.

editKaito (海斗)Voiced by: Yoshimasa Hosoya[3] (Japanese); Bryce Papenbrook (English) A close friend of kei, he was sent too prison for helping kei and later escaped with the help of Takeshi Kotobuki and his unique winged IBM. He then reconciled with Kei, and saved Eriko from Anti-Ajin riots at her hospital.

- Kei's sister who seems to suffer from a terminal illness and is hospitalized throughout most of the series. It was made clear that she does not like her brother.[1]

- Yū is the head of Ajin Research under the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and has a comatose fiancée, Ai. He is protected by an Ajin bodyguard named Izumi Shimomura. He agrees to let Kei work with him to stop Satō on the condition that Kei is allowed to live a normal life afterwards.<[5]
