Akilah Green is an American television writer and producer. She currently serves as Co-Executive Producer on the CBS comedy series Ghosts.[1]

Early life and education

Green graduated from the University of Michigan Law School with a J.D. in 2006.[2]

Career

After law school, Green worked as a lobbyist in Washington, D.C. for seven years before transitioning to television writing in 2013.[2][3]

Television career

Green began her entertainment career working for comedian Greg Fitzsimmons on a VH1 late-night show as a writer's assistant.[2] She later joined Chelsea Handler's Netflix show Chelsea as a writer, initially appearing in a sketch in the show's inaugural episode before joining the writing staff.[2]

Her subsequent writing credits include A Black Lady Sketch Show, Perfect Harmony, and the Emmy Awards.[4] She has served as Co-Executive Producer on HBO Max's Rap Sh!t and Apple TV+'s Time Bandits.[5]
