He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences, a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences with a concentration in Environmental Management and Territorial Planning, and a degree in Geographical Engineering[1]. He has twenty years of experience leading basic sanitation, environmental management, and territorial planning projects, developed in coordination with both the public and private sectors.

He has formulated and designed technical-operational proposals, contributed to institutional strengthening, and promoted environmental public awareness processes within the framework of integrated municipal solid waste management[2], with interventions in several cities across Peru, Argentina, and Bolivia. Additionally, he has led Environmental Assessments for National Programs related to basic sanitation and has headed territorial planning projects, utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) as a strategic tool for analysis and management.

He has been certified as an International Waste Manager[3] by the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) (Registration No. 12729). He is a member of the Peruvian Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (APIS) and the Inter-American Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (AIDIS). He is also registered as a researcher in the National Directory of Researchers and Innovators (DINA) of the National Council for Science, Technology, and Technological Innovation (CONCYTEC – Peru). Furthermore, he is included in the roster of specialists for the National Service of Environmental Certification for Sustainable Investments (SENACE), at levels II and III in the categories of Sectoral Activities and Environmental Impact Assessment Activities.

He has been invited as a speaker and presenter at numerous high-level international congresses and forums across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, organized by entities such as ISWA, AIDIS, WASET, UNESCO, and the IDB, among others. Notable participations include the ISWA World Solid Waste Congresses (2012–2025), the Inter-American Solid Waste Congresses (2013–2025), the International Conventions on Environment and Development in Cuba, and specialized conferences on circular economy, hazardous waste, microplastics, disaster waste management, the textile industry, and urban sustainability.

His research has received international recognition, earning honors such as the Best Presentation Award at the XVI International Conference on Solid Waste Recycling Technologies (Istanbul, 2022) and Best Scientific Paper at the World Resources Forum (Costa Rica, 2016). He has authored and co-authored numerous scientific studies presented at international forums, addressing topics such as the circular economy, textile waste, hazardous waste, microplastics, human rights, and waste management in emergency contexts.[4][5]

He has participated as a fellow in specialized training programs sponsored by international organizations such as the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), NUFFIC, GIZ, BMZ, UNESCO, Erasmus University Rotterdam (IHS), and the Singapore Cooperation Programme. He has completed advanced coursework in solid waste management, hazardous waste, landfill mining, green cities, water management, and urban sustainability in countries including Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Bolivia, and Nicaragua.

Currently, he serves as the General Manager of Grupo Construyendo Desarrollo S.A.C. and Peru Waste Innovation S.A.C. He is a member of the Water Research and Management Center, an international speaker, and a university professor with an extensive track record in professional training and the promotion of sustainable development models, circular economy, and integrated solid waste management.
