Alexeis "Alex" Nahseem Kirnos is an Amerian professional soccer player who plays for DC Power FC in the USL Super League as a midfielder/defender. She previously played for USL W League club Virginia Marauders and Radford Highlanders women's soccer team.
Early life
editShe is the youngest for four siblings, born in Alexandria, Virginia. Alex is of Argentine, Mexican and Iranian descent. She was raised in Woodbridge, Virginia and attended Osbourn Park High School where she played Field Hockey and Soccer. Alex started playing soccer at the age of four and played youth soccer for the Northern Virginia Soccer Club. She graduated from high school in 2019 and attended Radford University where she is the first player to win 3 Big South Tournament Championships for the Highlanders. The Woodbridge, VA, native finished her career with 17 goals (including seven game-winning goals) and 21 assists in 86 appearances (74 starts) for the Highlanders. The 5-foot-7-inch midfielder was named to the Big South all-conference first-team and the United Coaches all-southeast second-team. She joined the USL W League Virginia Marauders FC for the Spring, 2024 and later signed a contract at the professional level with DC Power FC.[1][2]
Club career
editAlex signed for DC Power FC in June 2024 and made her professional debut in the 89th minute during the inaugural match of the nascent USL Super League on August 17, 2024 against Carolina Ascent FC.[3] She made her first start for DC Power FC against Tampa Bay Sun FC on August 24th, 2024 and completed 60 minutes.[4]
