Alex Maguire (Born January 7th 2001) is an Irish Professional Golfer, he is a member of the Challenge Tour, Alps Pro Tour and Golf Ireland's Pro Development. He turned professional in December 2023 and is managed by 'White Rose Sports Management'. In 2023 he played in 'The 151st Open Championship'. He had qualified after winning 'The Open Series'.

Alex Maguire grew up on the outskirts of Drogheda, and has played golf in Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club since the age of 7. He attended Colaiste Na hInse secondary school in Bettystown.

Alex Maguire attended Florida Atlantic University on a golf scholarship from 2019 until 2023, while there he gained global recognition and proved himself to be a top golfer. He was the key member of the Owls' team, and was widely regarded as one of the best amateur golfers in the world.

Maguire had an extremely successful amateur career. In 2021 he won the 'Connacht Men's Strokeplay' and the 'North of Ireland'. In 2022 he won the 'East of Ireland'. In 2023 Maguires golf was on a different level to the rest, he successfully defended his 'East of Ireland', won 'The St. Andrews Links Trophy' and the 'Open Series'. Maguire was a part of the Irish Men's national teams from 2021 to 2023. In 2023 he represented Great Britain & Ireland in the 49th Walker Cup. For 4 months in 2023 Maguire was ranked as the number one amateur golfer in Europe. In 2023 Maguire was awarded the 'Irish Amateur Golfer of the year' award.

Maguire has sponsorship deals with both Titliest and Footjoy golf.
